The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Louer Family hails from St. Helena. Slightly more backward and dense, this is a more substantial 2014, with a dense ruby/purple color, loads of crème de cassis, black cherry, earth and spice. It is full-bodied, rich, concentrated and impressively endowed. It is accessible enough to drink now, but promises to be better in 3-4 years and evolve for up to 15 or more. - Robert Parker

Winery

Roberts + Rogers

In 1999, longtime friends Roger Louer and Robert Young began making wine together from Cabernet Sauvignon from Howell Mountain.

In 2009, Roger Louer produced a Louer Family Reserve Cabernet from his personal estate in St. Helena for a select group of friends. That wine was sourced from the best barrels of the 34 acre estate and has sold out before it was produced for the past three years. Roberts + Rogers released the 2012 vintage under the R+R label.
