As is typically the case, this is slightly riper than the regular cuvée though the nose is moderately reduced today and harder to read. There is excellent richness here too but also relatively good detail to the big, powerful and broad-shouldered flavors that possess terrific intensity on the explosive and hugely long finish. This wine has a tendency to more resemble either Chevalier or Montrachet depending on the vintage and I would observe that in 2015 it's more the latter than the former. I would add that while this will certainly easily be capable of aging for 10 to 15 years, it will be more approachable young than usual.

The 2015 Chevalier-Montrachet La Cabotte Grand Cru offers up a youthful but expressive bouquet of hazelnut, apple, preserved citrus, pear and almond paste. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, intense and racy, with a lovely line of succulent acidity, and a penetrating, chalky finish that lingers on the tongue. While this is beautifully fresh and vibrant for a 2015 white Burgundy, it's also quite structurally giving and should drink very well on release. - William Kelley
