(92+ points) The 2015 Chardonnay Sta. Rita Hills will be another terrific vintage and, while young, offers plenty of pleasure. Pineapple, citrus blossom, salty minerality and creamed corn all flow to a rich, beautifully textured, layered, young Chardonnay that’s going to benefit from short-term cellaring and have 10-15 years of overall longevity. Like all of Greg’s Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnays, it spent 10 months in neutral barrels.

The 2015 Chardonnay is reared in a neutral barrel, with no malolactic fermentation. It has a full-on expressive nose of fresh grapefruit, white peaches and clotted cream with hints of fresh ginger and nutmeg. Medium to full-bodied, the spicy citrus fruit explodes in the mouth with tons of energy and a racy backbone, finishing long and savory. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown

Seared lemon peels, densely packed honeysuckle, Brie rind and white-ash aromas show on the nose of this appellation blend from the regional superstars, which recently became part of the Jackson Family of wines. The palate is tightly wound with grapefruit pith and a lemon spray-laced acidity that provides ample structure, carrying the slightest bit of riper stone fruit at the core. MATT KETTMANN
