Citrus peel, white flowers, sage and tomato leaf notes abound. The 2015 is the first vintage in which the blend favors Sémillon over Sauvignon, but it is the Sauvignon character – especially in the aromatics that dominate – while the Sémillon is mostly felt in the wine's textural feel and body. All the elements are in the right place. This is a terrific showing. collapse

Lemons, dried mangoes and hints of lavender. White grapefruit. Full-bodied, fruity and fresh. Phenolic texture to the vibe. Like it. Drink now.

The vines are on the borders of Saillans village in Fronsac, planted on clay limestone soils. The overall feel is beautifully juicy and fresh, marked by redcurrant notes, florality and blonde tobacco that is often brought out in Cabernet Franc on the right bank. This has real freshness, even in such a hot and dry year, with a flourish of minerality on the finish. 25% new oak.
