( 91+) The 2015 Meursault AC from Domaine Ente is another very pure and classy example of the vintage (sensing a theme here?), delivering an excellent nose of pear, apple, iodine, hazelnut, lovely minerality and a floral topnote redolent of apple blossoms. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, crisp and very refined on the attack, with a juicy core and impressive backend mineral drive on the long and zesty finish. Like the Bourgogne Blanc, this is really giving and succulent at the outset and will deliver plenty of pleasure from release, but it is also impeccably balanced and will keep nicely. (Drink between 2016-2030)

There is more volume and intensity to the nicely detailed medium-bodied flavors where additional lift is provided by hints of minerality and salinity. This should drink well early but age over the mid-term too.

White pepper, menthol and fresh herbs on the lively nose. Nicely balanced if on the lean side, showing lovely cut and definition to its brisk flavors of lemon oil, orange zest and spices. Firm but not hard. (Ente's Bourgogne Aligoté offers an aromatic nose of orange oil and flowers and a chewy, sappy palate impression, with a surprisingly fleshy old-vines richness to buffer its impression of tautness. It will be worth seeking out. And his Bourgogne Chardonnay, made in a more opulent, even slightly exotic style, is sweet and fine-grained for its appellation, with yellow peach, tangerine and floral flavors leading to a rich, spicy but firm finish. I rated this wine 87-88.)

Jancis Robinson's Purple Pages, November 2016
(17/20) Racy and lightly smoky with great freshness and tension. More than a nod to Coche-Dury here. Masses to chew on. This deserves much more than a village score. Very throbbing end.
