(92-94) The 2015 Nuits Saint Georges 1er Cru Clos de l'Arlot includes around 55% whole bunch fruit. It has a very well-defined bouquet with bright raspberry and cranberry leaf, gun flint and grey slate notes tucked in just behind. The whole bunch works well here and lends complexity. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp, slightly chalky tannin. Quite energetic in the mouth but very linear at the moment, this is a slightly more austere take on the finish, but you can feel the terroir tingling on the tongue long after the wine has departed. Classic in style, it should age well over the next couple of decades. -Neal Martin
