The 2015 Monthélie is beautifully red fruity this year, despite being the last parcel collected on September the 5th. The bouquet jumps from the glass in a vibrant blend of strawberries, cherries, a fine base of soil tones, violets, woodsmoke and a touch of cedar. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and gorgeously transparent, with a fine core, excellent length and grip and a focused, vibrant and softly tannic finish. This year the les Duresses will drink beautifully right from the outset. (Drink between 2016-2035)
