The most compelling of Grand Tinel's 2015s is the 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape Heres, a 100% Grenache that never sees any oak. It boasts remarkable richness and purity, offering hints of cinnamon, clove and nutmeg, blueberries and stone fruit and a long, tannic finish that shows no sign of alcoholic heat. It deserves a few years of cellaring, after which it should drink well for at least a decade or so. - JC

Silky soft and polished, this refined wine tastes and feels great. Loads of elegant, polished, fresh berries, with a good sense of purity in the fruit. This is the first time for me with this wine. Lastly, and bought up all in stainless steel, the 2015 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Hérès is 100% Grenache that’s all from sandy soils and was completely destemmed. It offers classic red fruits (cherries, strawberries), notes of garrigue and dried earth, full-bodied richness, sweet tannin and a great finish. It plays in the more elegant, streamlines style of the vintage, yet has solid density and impeccable balance. It will evolve nicely.
