(90-92) The 2015 Chambolle-Musigny les Chabiots 1er Cru comes from 0.25-hectare of vines from which Laurent Lignier buys fruit to make two or three barrels. It has a floral, candied bouquet with kirsch, redcurrants and touches of hoisin, quite extravagant and showy in style, scent of orange cordial developing with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a fleshy, caressing opening. This feels very effervescent in the mouth with blood orange and quince jus, harmonious right towards the finish. This has good potential for ageing, although I think its comeliness will ensure that it will also drink with just a year in bottle. -Neal Martin
