(aged in 30% new oak): Bright, light yellow. The nose offers an attractive ripe combination of yellow fruits, minerals and smoky, spicy oak, with an element of nutmeats emerging with air. At once riper and more minerally than the 2016 version but the wine's new oak element is not yet integrated. A sweet suggestion of orange is nicely supported by firm finishing acidity. Give this a couple years in the cellar.
