(91 - 93) The 2015 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos-Prieur offers a mixture of red and black fruit on the nose, here, an enticing marine element surfacing, traces of seaweed (kelp) coming through with time. The palate is very well balanced with filigree tannin. The fruit profile starts red, but veers towards black as it fans out on the finish, while all the time maintaining fine mineral tension. This is another really quite gorgeous 2015 from Trapet. It comes highly recommended.- NM
