(90-93) Here too there is enough wood and menthol influence to mention framing the very ripe plum and earth aromas that reveal a wisp of prune. There is excellent size, weight and punch to the full-bodied and muscular flavors that are shaped by slightly finer tannins on the palate coating finish where a hint of warmth can be found. The nose is slightly riper than I prefer but this is impressive all the same.

(88-90) The 2015 Corton-Bressandes Grand Cru was sultry and backward on the nose, well defined however, but it did not respond to coaxing from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin, a crisp line of acidity, a dash of white pepper but not quite the sophistication of the Corton-Perrieres on the finish, at least at the moment. This needs to catch up with the Corton Clos du Roi and Perrières. -Neal Martin
