The palate suggests a ripe, powerful persona with chewy, juicy tannins and a fine line of pretty acidity. Best ever. Drink from 2022.

Bright cherry and berry flavors are allied to a firm backbone in this elegant red. Floral, earth and tobacco accents add detail. Ends on a savory, salty note. Best from 2022 through 2038. – BS

These elements are carefully balanced to build the intensity and subtle but enduring power of the wine. There is firm structure at the back, and the wine is defined by its attractive but integrated acidity. You have all the essentials here for a pairing of hearty cheese ravioli topped with black truffle shavings. - Monica Larner

On the palate, I find silky textures, showcasing ripe red and blue berry fruits, with sweet spices and slow mounting tannin, as pretty inner florals develop. The finish is long, showing the wine's youthful, clenching wood tannins, yet also kept fresh through brisk acids, as notes of dried red berries and spice slowly fade. -- Eric Guido
