Strawberries and rose powder on the nose. Medium-bodied, firm and silky. Hints of spices and cream. Light pepper pods. Medium body, firm and integrated pretty tannins and a subtle finish. Drink now or hold.

(WA89-91 points) The 2015 Moulin A Vent Domaine du Pourpre certainly has one of the better aromatics from Duboeuf - better delineation here with black cherry, blackcurrant and undergrowth aromas coming through with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with supple, ripe tannin and crisp acidity and is nicely structured with a slightly brittle, saline finish that is very appealing. Give this 2-3 years in bottle and you will have a very satisfying, delicious and quite classy Moulin-a-Vent. - Neal Martin

Smoke- and spice-accented dark berries, licorice, musky earth and a hint of violet on the deeply perfumed nose. Sappy, fleshy and broad on the palate, offering concentrated boysenberry and bitter cherry flavors that show no rough edges and turn sweeter with air. In an ample style but not lacking for energy. Finishes sweet, floral and long, with just a trace of fine-grained tannins. - Josh Raynolds
