Quite closed on the nose, but this is already gorgeous on the palate. The myriad ripe fruits are so precisely delineated, the acidity so vital and urgent that if you drink it now you'd still be stunned in spite of missing some of the riches it has to offer. Everything is perfectly in place, and the finish is literally breathtaking.

The 2015 Graacher Himmelreich Auslese (AP 16) displays a very clear, precise and flinty/smoky bouquet of perfectly ripe stone fruits and crushed stones, intertwined with lemon flavors. This Auslese is enormously mouth-watering, incredibly piquant and salty, with an endless flow of lush fruit juice and melting minerals. This is a great Riesling and a digestible, picture-book Auslese. - Stephan Reinhardt
