A slightly subdued yet pretty display of fresh, ripe strawberry and cherries, mixing with rosy florals, cedar, and sweet spice emerges from La Fortuna's 2015 Brunello di Montalcino. Soft, fleshy textures play host to ripe cherry and sweet subtle spices, as pretty inner floral tones amass above a coating of fine tannin. The finish is medium in length, resonating on acids and spice, with a hint of grippy tannin and lingering floral tones. La Fortuna is not a powerful wine, but it finds wonderful balance with its delicate nature.
