Decanter,
This really does show just how fabulous the southern Médoc area was in 2015: it just begs for enjoyment. It has that signature purity of fruit that Caroline Frey has perfected, coupled with a long finish that ends crisply and cleanly. The cassis and cinnamon spice notes of a 65% Cabernet, 30% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot blend sing out, along with the menthol lick of a good Médoc. This is loaded with healthy tannins on the palate that drive the long finish. Quite an uncompromising young wine that will be better from 2020, but the fundamental harmony is very convincing. Full and flavorful.

Cassis, toasty oak, Asian spices, and black tea notes all emerge from this medium to full-bodied, layered and lengthy Haut-Médoc. Count me in as a fan and it’s up with the top wines produced from this estate.
