This is Burgundian opulence, with generous, rounded black-fruit and -berry flavors. Supporting this richness are the tannins that will allow the wine to age. From Louis Latour Domaine vineyards, it has a solid, dense structure that needs plenty of time. Drink from 2027.

A compact style, just short of monolithic, displaying black cherry, plum, thyme, graphite and chalk aromas and flavors. Complex and balanced, with a sense of refinement and terrific energy. The best is yet to come. Excellent length. Best from 2021 through 2040. 120 cases made. –BS

(BH91-94 points) Even aggressive swirling barely succeeds in liberating the earthy and beautifully complex aromas of dark currant, autumn leaves and a whiff of smoked game. There is excellent punch to the rich, velvety and relatively refined flavors that brim with minerality on the hugely long finish that displays hints of mocha and warmth. This is also clearly built-to-age though in this case the richness is such that it could be enjoyed on the younger side.
