On the palate, this is a highly elegant and almost light-weight... The 2015 Riesling Ockfener Bockstein Beerenauslese is clear, rich and toasty on the nose, very clear, refined and elegant, with very fine Riesling flavors. On the palate, this is a highly elegant and almost light-weight and filigreed BA of great finesse and delicacy; the acidity is very fine and vital, and the tannins add a nice grip. The finish is pure, finessed, very long and everything else but terribly sweet. This is a digestible and finesse-full BA in another dimension. Great! The oak is more palatble here because the acidity is higher and extracts more from the oak. -Stephan Reinhardt
