The 2015 Fixin “Clos Chapitre” from Domaine Méo-Camuzet shows more minerality and precision than the villages bottling from this commune, though it too has a bit of a “roasted fruit” personality. The bouquet wafts from the glass in a mix of cassis, black cherries, dark soil tones, bitter chocolate, venison and cedar. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and nicely pure on the attack, with a good core, modest tannins and just a whisper of sur maturité perking up on the long finish. (Drink between 2020-2045)
