The 2015 Chambolle AC chez Méo is fully fourteen percent this year, making it one of the riper village wines in the cellar, but it was not showing any signs of overripeness. The wine was also one of the last to finish up its malolactic fermentation, but was showing quite well in early November, wafting from the glass in a fairly fruit-driven constellation of black cherries, plums, violets, a dollop of soil and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, long and focused, with a sappy core and a long, gently chewy finish. Good juice in the making here. (Drink between 2020-2045)
