(92+) The 2015 les Argillières was another late finished of its malolactic in the Méo cellars this year, but the wine seemed in good spirits and showed well during my visit. The bouquet is excellent, jumping from the glass in a blend of red and black cherries, nutskin, gamebird, a fine base of soil, cedar and nice spicy elements in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, long and soil-driven, with a very solid core, ripe, fine-grained tannins and impressive length and grip on the focused finish. This is one of the coolest premier crus in Nuits and this has certainly benefited it in the hot summer of 2015. (Drink between 2023-2060)
