The 2015 Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru has a gorgeous, seductive, complex bouquet of intermingled layers of red and black fruit and touches of sous-bois, sage and rose petals. The palate is finely tuned and a little oaky at the moment, though the oak will be soaked up with time. This is well balanced, displaying a fine bead of acidity, impressive precision and a very persistent finish that is pure joy. An outstanding Mazis from Bernstein. -- Neal Martin

Jancis Robinson's Purple Pages, November 2016
(18.5/20) 100% new oak. Very savoury, almost leathery. Big and muscular. Not sweet but muscly. Very long term wine. Great balance. Dry on the end at the moment but with an electric charge throughout. Very neat.

(BH91-93 points) Once again there is just enough wood in evidence to remark upon on the notably ripe yet attractively fresh nose that combines notes of cassis, the sauvage, lavender and violet hints. The unctuously rich, full-bodied and lightly mineral-inflected flavors coat the palate with dry extract and buffers the moderately firm tannic spine on the dusty and noticeably warm finish that is noticeable enough that some may find it intrusive.
