Another terrific Pomerol from the Moueix team and based on 72% Merlot and 28% Cabernet Franc, the 2015 Château Plince offers the sexy, approachable style of the vintage as well as lots of sweet red and black fruits, underbrush, and hints of vanilla. This medium-bodied 2015 has surprising elegance, as well as silky texture, and it’s already hard to resist. Drink it over the coming decade.

Steeped plum, blackberry and black cherry fruit forms the core here, while a liberal dose of warm fruitcake, mulling spices and bramble kicks in through the finish. All the elements meld well enough, with a slightly chewy hint at the very end. Best from 2021 through 2030. 4,100 cases made. — JM
