The 2015 Chassagne Montrachet Les Baudines 1Er Cru has a classic white Burgundy nose of tropical fruits, spice, and brioche. This gives way to a medium-bodied, elegant, silky 2015 that has terrific purity and vibrancy, as well as the terrific depth of fruit that’s common in the 2015s.

Notes of citrus peel, apple, white flowers and soft spice nuances are trimmed in just enough oak to bother mentioning. The mouth feel of the middle weight flavors is notably sleeker and more mineral-driven as well though there isn't necessarily any better depth or length on the attractively refreshing finish. This should be approachable young but repay a few years of bottle age too.
