All the voluptuousness of Volnay awaits in this ripe, full wine. The tannins are richly cushioned by the red-berry fruits and lifted by acidity. It is a beautiful wine, focused on fruit and with just the right amount of structure for it to age. Drink from 2020. ROGER VOSS

Enticing aromas of wild cherry, wild strawberry, sandalwood and rose introduce this fragrant red. It's silky and firmly structured, with an element of spicy new oak emerging on the long aftertaste. Harmonious and complex. Best from 2023 through 2040. 180 cases imported. — BS

Good dark red. Scented aromas of dark raspberry, mocha, spices, pepper and dried herbs. Moderately sweet, fine-grained and thick, with currant, darker fruit and spices flavors joined by a note of dark chocolate that communicates the vintage. Finishes with unctuous tannins and slowly building length. As with a few of the other 2015s at this address, the tannins are more harmonious than usual owing to the greater mid-palate density of the '15 vintage. -- Stephen Tanzer
