The 2015 Enkircher Ellergrub Riesling Spätlese is super clear, pure, precise, fresh and stony on the pretty reductive nose that reminds me of Schäfer-Fröhlich's crystalline Nahe Rieslings. Made entirely from healthy grapes, this is a lush, piquant and super salty/flinty Riesling as well as a gorgeous Spätlese with great precision, tension and salinity. Picked on October 13th and 16th, it was bottled with 8% alcohol and 75 grams of residual sugar. - Stephan Reinhardt
