The hallmark innate exoticism of La Romanée is on display with its notes of white peach, gardenia, lychee nut and citrus scents that are trimmed in just enough wood to warrant mentioning. I very much like the gorgeous mouth feel of the medium-bodied flavors that culminate in an almost delicate and sneaky long finish. While this can sometimes be bold and robust, in 2016 this is a wine of finesse and refinement.
