Based on grenache from 40-year-old vines and blended with a host of local varieties, the wine seems to grow in size and complexity with air, herbal notes and grapefruit acidity adding lift and freshness. It’s hearty enough to pair with seafood sausages; delicate enough to drink on its own.

It shows the richer side of the vintage, yet is clean, crisp and refreshing, with bright acidity. Hat’s off to this estate for consistently delivering one of finest Rosés in the world, year in, year out.

This is a full-bodied, ripe and rich example of Tavel. Flourishes of dried flowers and spices dress up ripe melons and berries, finishing long and warming. It's a rosé tailor made for cool end-of-summer evenings.

Fresh and focused on the nose, displaying mineral-tinged red berry and orange pith scents and a deeper suggestion of cherry pit. Taut and chewy on the palate, offering refreshingly bitter red currant and blood orange flavors underscored by a vein of juicy acidity. Closes supple, focused and quite long, leaving behind sappy red berry and tangerine notes. - Josh Raynolds
