(AG93-96 points) The 2016 Feytit-Clinet comes across as very ripe and pushed, with less of the explosive energy of some past vintages. Or maybe the powerful tannins are simply buried by the sheer intensity of the fruit. Waves of fruit saturate the palate in a dramatic, distinctive Pomerol that shows the more virile side of the appellation. The 2016 is a terrific wine, but the question is whether it has one more gear left. I can't wait to see how it develops. Tasted three times.

(JS94-95 points) This is layered and beautiful with blackberries, spices and hints of cedar. Full body, polished tannins and a gorgeous finish. Sexy. Better than 2015. Best ever?

It has a deep garnet-purple color with lifted blueberries and black cherries with hints of lilacs, black tea, potpourri, wood smoke and black soil. The palate is full-bodied, concentrated, rich and bold with firm, rounded tannins, seamless freshness and a very long finish with chocolate hints. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown

Wine Enthusiast, April 2017
(WE92-94 points) Ripe and spicy, this is a dense wine with solid tannins. Black plum and blackberry flavors give the wine its fruitiness, while the spicy tannins promise aging. This powerful wine has a good future.

The perfect blend of truffle, wet earth, flowers, ripe cherries, plum and cocoa. Silky, soft and polished, there is more richness than usual here that meshes well with the freshness in its character. This is big, tight and a little foreboding in its tannic structure. It has some lovely floral notes on the nose, and it opens very nicely in the glass. It has some lovely floral notes on the nose, and it opens very nicely in the glass. There's no question there's a huge amount of black fruit lurking - those tannins are holding back the tide - and overall this is a dense experience. It's good quality and will take its time to come round. 17/20 Lively and rich on the nose without much forcing. Really quite dramatic in 2016! Luscious yet with a framework.
