The energy and rolling effect of the phenolic texture and acidity is really crazy in this. Full-bodied, dense yet agile and so fresh. It just grabs you and takes you for the ride. Love it. Made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, the Les Champs Libres 2016 Blanc leaps from the glass with honeyed peaches, passion fruit, musk perfume and beeswax notes plus hints of pink grapefruit, cedar chest, struck match and mandarin peel. Medium-bodied with a lovely creaminess to the texture, it has fantastic intensity and depth with a very refreshing backbone and long mineral-laced finish. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown

The 2016 Les Champs Libres, 100% Sauvignon Blanc from three parcels, has a slight reduction on the nose that works well, gradually opening to reveal orange pith and hints of pear. Quite complex and cerebral in style. The palate is well balanced with orange zest and apricot on the entry and a touch of passion fruit. The richness is counterbalanced by a killer line of acidity and a dash of stem ginger on the finish. Just superb. -- Neal Martin
