From a tiny three-hectare vineyard in Saint-Emilion, right beside Monbousquet, that was planted in 1901, the 2016 Château Lucia is a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc that spent 12-16 months in 50% new French oak. It has plenty of raspberry and blueberry fruits, some spice, tobacco, and chocolate notes, medium body, good acidity, and solid balance. It's an elegant red to drink over the coming 7-10 years.
