Coming from a great site in the Russian River Valley and based on a hand full of clones, the 2016 Chardonnay Pratt Vineyard Vine Hill Road has a terrific sense of purity and elegance as well as clean notes of white peach, citrus, and white flowers. Balanced, medium-bodied, and about as classy as they come, it’s approachable today, yet I suspect will evolve for 7-8 years or more. It’s a terrific Chardonnay. This 2016 spent 11 months in one-third new French oak, and there are 268 cases produced.
