The 2016 Nardo is distinguished by a whole range of floral, savory and blood orange notes that give the wine striking aromatic brightness and perfume. Powerful and dense on the palate, with tremendous structure, the 2016 is incredibly racy today. Even with all of its richness, Nardo remains so precise and finely cut, with a real sense of saline-infused energy that drives the flavors. It is simply stunning. Wow! -- Antonio Galloni

What a nose. Such intensity but freshness, showing brambleberries, dark plums, dark cherries, fresh mint, tea leaves, mocha, oyster shell and iodine. Incredibly structured and dense yet agile and tangy. The purity of fruit is breathtaking, as are the velvety and encompassing tannins. Long on the umami-laden finish. A blend of montepulciano, sangiovese and alicante. Drink in 2023 but already delicious.
