What brilliance and finesse, what purity and clarity. As long as you're not afraid of acidity, this could be a life-changing experience. An explosion of exotic fruits at the finish! This will live as long as the cork holds. Very limited production.

White peach, quince and mirabelle preserves laced with fresh grapefruit and white raisin feature on the nose and the glycerol-rich, strikingly creamy yet brightly juicy palate in a performance that could well be that of a Riesling. A yeasty bread-like manifestation of subtle botrytis adds allure. To an even more prominent degree than the corresponding Auslese, this elixir finishes with mouthwatering salinity and infectious juiciness, bringing along Rieslaner-typical tangy pineapple. That aforementioned Auslese exhibits a bit greater flavor diversity, but this TBA delivers a remarkable juxtaposition of concentration with delicacy and just hangs on for dear life, milking the salivary glands and setting tongue and tonsils to quivering. -- David Schildknecht
