With beautiful tannins, a seamless, medium to full-bodied mouthfeel, and impressive length, this gorgeous red is going to evolve for a solid decade on its purity, balance, and length. The blend is 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Grenache, 12% Syrah, 9% Mourvèdre, and the rest Merlot and Petit Verdot. The Bordeaux varieties come from the Northern Médoc and the Rhone varieties are all from Châteauneuf Du Pape.

The full-bodied palate (14.5% alcohol) is full-on rich and seductive, delivering bags of savory-laced black and blue fruits with a gorgeous velvety texture and seamless freshness, finishing long with loads of pepper and mineral sparks. Delicious right now, it is still very youthful and primary. It should easily cellar for another 20 years or more. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown
