(88-91) A more deeply pitched nose offers plenty of classic Gevrey character with its earth, humus, underbrush and sauvage characters, all of which can be found on the attractively textured, vibrant and solidly concentrated medium-bodied flavors that possess fine depth and persistence. This fine villages should reward 5 to 8 years of cellar time.

(88-90) (tasted from cuve): Good dark red. Lovely red cherry and raspberry aromas are lifted by floral and spicy high notes. Juicy and firmly built, offering noteworthy finesse of texture. Not a fleshy wine but boasts excellent acidity and inner-mouth tension without any hardness. Finishes with very good lift and pungency. Should make a very successful village wine. Only the estate's vines in their parcel in Les Crais were affected by frost.- ST
