This is a very different structure and fruit expression from some, and needs time to settle in the glass. You can feel the vibrancy of the bristling, mouthwatering redcurrant, raspberry and juicy black cherry, but it's just a touch austere right now. I had expected it to put on a little more weight since en primeur, but this is a Pomerol that's going for precision and vibrancy over overt sexiness. It makes you smile, but is carefully measured at present.
