The 2017 Chablis Blanchot Grand Cru is vivid, open-knit and super-appealing. Sweet floral and citrus notes lend energy, but it is the wine's nuance and persistence that make the strongest first impression. Even so, the 2017 appears to be holding back much of its potential today. The wine's translucent personality and overall feel. (91-93 points) Here too the wonderfully elegant and broad-ranging nose is markedly floral in character where additional wisps of quinine, seaweed, pear and citrus add nuance. In the fashion as the nose, there is a gorgeously refined mouth feel to the intense, sleek and mineral-driven flavors that exhibit fine complexity on the saline, very dry and strikingly long finish. This is presently not quite as deep though that may well change.

Offering up aromas of sweet yellow orchard fruit, honeysuckle, almond paste and freshly baked bread, the 2017 Chablis Grand Cru Blanchots is medium to full-bodied, broad, satiny and textural, with good depth and tension at the core, lively acids and a young, vibrant finish. - WK
