The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannin, more backward than the aromatics at the moment but very well balanced with super-fine tannin framing the feminine and quite persistent finish. Good potential here. -- Neal Martin

This sees 50% new wood, which allows the fruit to express itself more clearly. Sappy, dense and concentrated, it's quite a serious Musigny with sinewy tannins, a good backbone, and a concentrated core of dark berry fruit. (Drink between 2025-2032)

The silky and refined big-bodied flavors possess excellent volume if not quite the same power as I'm used to seeing but the length is first-rate on the beautifully harmonious finish that is shaped by a firm core of tightly wound tannins. Patience will definitely be necessary.
