Charles Chenoweth converted an apple orchard to vines at his family’s Green Valley homestead in 2000 and has since begun farming a number of other vineyards providing fruit to Patz & Hall. James Hall captured the ripe fruit of 2017 without any heat of alcohol. The wine feels cool, in fact, grounded in a tight, mineral-inflected spice, lasting on red fruit and a memory of the satin texture that fruit provides.
