(91 - 93 points) Mortet pursues the same strategy with his 2018 Mazoyères-Chambertin Grand Cru as with his Perrières, which is to say he declassified any bunches with fat berries from the parcel's younger vines; and, again, the result vindicates the effort. Wafting from the glass with aromas of sweet wild berries, cassis, burning embers and candied peel, it's medium to full-bodied, nicely concentrated and structurally refined.
