The 2018 Romito is slightly exotic and floral, mixing violets and rose with bright spicy cherry. This is cool-toned and wonderfully fresh, displaying almost-salty minerality, while saturating with tart berry fruits energized by zesty acids that give way to violet inner florals. It’s lightly structured and buzzing with residual tension, purple tinged and spicy. After a little more time in bottle, the Romito, a blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Cilliegolo, will be a whole lot of fun.
