The soil gets more clay and darker as you head north into Puligny. Bright crisp fresh, appealing. A great weight of sweet ripe perfumed peachy fruit but I find this better balanced than the Criots. Otherwise there is a lovely sense of refinement to the sleek, intense and concentrated medium weight flavors that possess fine depth and persistence on the citrus-tinged finale. This more energetic effort should reward up to a decade of cellaring, yet it's not so tightly wound that it could not be approached after 5-ish years of cellaring.
