The 2018 Meursault villages bottling is also a very pretty example of the vintage. This is never a particularly powerful AC, but rather one of complexity, intensity of flavor and lovely transparency and this is certainly the case in 2018. The bouquet wafts from the glass in a refined mix of apple, fresh coconut, chalky soil tones, almond, fruit blossoms and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is bright, fullish and succulent on the attack, with a good core of fruit, fine backend mineral drive, zesty acids and a long, complex and already quite delicious finish.
