(91-93 points) The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Chenevottes 1er Cru has a much more intense bouquet than the Vergers, with more mineralité and terroir expression; fleeting glimpses of walnut and hazelnut emerge with aeration. The palate is beautifully balanced with a fine bead of acidity and notes of tangerine and orange zest. A judicious pinch of white pepper enlivens the finish. I appreciate the composure and persistence of this very promising Les Chenevottes. -- Neal Martin
