The succulent and borderline oily medium weight plus flavors possess an abundance of dry extract that imparts a sappy texture to the bitter lemon finish where an interesting hint of marmalade appears. This isn't classic but it is actually quite good.

It has a floral nose, featuring dandelion mixed with mown grass; a little earthiness develops with aeration. The palate is well balanced with better acidity than the La Forêt, and quite saline, especially toward the finish. A spicy note lingers on the aftertaste. Enjoy this well-crafted Chablis over the next 6–8 years. -- Neal Martin

The palate presents a creamy, lemon-accented ripeness of Mirabelle layered atop sonorous hazelnut aromas and textured oak. Together, this is a balanced picture that still needs to integrate.
