Beautiful blackberry and blueberry aromas with hints of spices and wild mushrooms. Full-bodied with tight, firm and silky tannins. Try after 2024.

(92–94) Barrel Sample. A powerful and dense wine, this is rich in concentrated tannins that show strongly against the backdrop of blackberry fruit and bright acidity. A juicy aftertaste gives it fine aging potential.

It offers a powerful, medium to full-bodied, concentrated style that has some oak to integrate, terrific black and blue fruits, notes of chocolate, saddle leather, and earthy tobacco, building tannins, and a great finish. It comes together beautifully with time in the glass and is a serious, age-worthy Pomerol that will benefit from 4-5 years of bottle age and keep for two decades.

The medium to full-bodied palate has a sturdy frame of chewy tannins and plenty of freshness supporting the earth and mineral-tinged red and black fruits, finishing long and savory. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown

Powerful and dense, majoring on black cherry with a touch of crushed mint. Velvet-textured, this is enjoyable with plenty of swagger.

Latour a Pomerol

Chateau Latour a Pomerol is one of the leading Bordeaux wine producers from the Pomerol appellation. Since 1962, Ets. Jean-Pierre Moueix has farmed the property, bringing their usual care and expertise to both vineyard and cellar.

The vineyard, with an average age of 35 years, is characterized by its soil diversity. There is loamy soil around the chateau itself with more gravel and clay in the best blocks near the church within the village of Pomerol. The estate has 8 hectares planted, predominantly Merlot with a small amount of Cabernet Franc.

Ets. Jean-Pierre Moueix, who own many other properties in both Pomerol and Saint-Emilion, including Magdelaine, Belair-Monange, La Fleur-Petrus, Lafleur-Gazin, Lagrange, Trotanoy, and Hosanna.
