Decanter, March 2022

Reliably excellent, as it is here. Deep, rich, plunge-pool cool dark fruit – black berries, damsons, brambles and raspberries; a touch of very dark chocolate and even freshly ground coffee. Mint leaf (just a hint), and...

Beautiful blackberry and blueberry aromas with hints of spices and wild mushrooms. Full-bodied with tight, firm and silky tannins. Try after 2024.

TheWineCellarInsider.com, March 2021

Medium/full-bodied, firm, yet elegant, this silky textured display of flowers, plums, truffles and cocoa is fresh, focused, earthy and concentrated. This will age and evolve quite well. Read more...

Wine Enthusiast, May 2021

This powerful, structured wine is packed with the ripest Merlot, with magnificent tannins and dark-plum flavors. Freshness shines through all this density, giving the wine considerable aging potential. Drink this rich...

jebdunnuck.com, March 2021

(93+ points) All Merlot from a tiny parcel on the upper plateau, the 2018 Château Latour A Pomerol is one of the more concentrated, structured wines in the Moueix stable. It offers a powerful, medium to full-bodied...

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, March 2021

Made from 100% Merlot, the 2018 Latour à Pomerol has a deep garnet-purple color and a relatively understated nose of stewed plums, baked blackberries and redcurrant jelly, plus suggestions of unsmoked cigars, cloves and...

Wine Spectator, March 2021

Very silky and alluring in feel, with lovely blackberry and boysenberry puree flavors gliding through, laced with subtle anise and black tea. Savory hints dot the finish while the fruit and spice play out languidly. Drink...

Chateau Latour a Pomerol is one of the leading Bordeaux wine producers from the Pomerol appellation. Since 1962, Ets. Jean-Pierre Moueix has farmed the property, bringing their usual care and expertise to both vineyard and cellar.

The vineyard, with an average age of 35 years, is characterized by its soil diversity. There is loamy soil around the chateau itself with more gravel and clay in the best blocks near the church within the village of Pomerol. The estate has 8 hectares planted, predominantly Merlot with a small amount of Cabernet Franc.

Ets. Jean-Pierre Moueix, who own many other properties in both Pomerol and Saint-Emilion, including Magdelaine, Belair-Monange, La Fleur-Petrus, Lafleur-Gazin, Lagrange, Trotanoy, and Hosanna.

Between elegance, power and smoothness, the wines of Chateau Latour a Pomerol show a perfect balance.
