(91-93 points) A blend of close to equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon (it was a great vintage for the Merlot in this cuvée), the 2018 Les Griffons De Pichon Baron is aging in 60% new French oak barrels, where it will stay for 18 months. Deeply colored, with a rocking bouquet of crème de cassis, lead pencil, black cherries, earth, and flowers, it's more finesse-driven and structured than the Les Tourelles de Longueville, with a straight, focused, yet still layered and ripe personality. It's another beautiful wine.
