The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Coombsville is a lovely wine from winemaker Julien Fayard. It offers the darker fruits and mineral tones of the best Coombsville Cabernets. Deep ruby-purple, the nose blossoms to pure cassis, pencil shavings, tobacco leaves, dried violets and dark chocolate on the nose. The palate is restrained, mineral driven and very classy, with dusty tannin texture, bursts of freshness and floral perfume on the long finish. - Erin Brooks
